Employees register for the college's first staff convocation, held on November 2 at the Jefferson Davis Campus Fine Arts Auditorium.

On November 2, MGCCC’s first staff convocation was held at the Jefferson Davis Campus.  The event was intended to share important information about Strategic Plan 2020 and other important college initiatives.  Breakout sessions included training on AED and fire safety, leadership, customer-service training, personal safety, and benefits.  Information about the tobacco-free and litter-free campus initiatives was also discussed, along with an introduction of an additional new logo design.

A second staff convocation was held on November 9 at the Jefferson Davis Campus for staff not included in the first event.

Dr. Carmen Walters, vice president of the Jackson County Campus, speaks during a breakout session on leadership.

Tonya Farmer speaks about safety during a breakout session at the staff convocation.

Dr. Michael Heindl discusses customer service during a breakout session.
