A grand slam homerun by Pearl River’s Nathan Pugh turned around game one and propelled the Wildcats to a 7-4, 11-1 sweep of Gulf Coast on April 13 in Perkinston.
The Bulldogs (20-16, 7-9) got solo homeruns from Tyler Quave and Kyle Clement in the opening game loss.
In the nightcap the Wildcats took advantage of nine walks and held Gulf Coast to three hits in an 11-1 victory.
On April 9, MGCCC split a doubleheader with Hinds, with Hinds winning the first game 8-2 and MGCCC taking the second game 8-4.
