Annual Bulldog Tailgate kicks off football season

The MGCCC Jazz Band entertained the crowd of more than 500 people at the Annual Bulldog Tailgate.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College held its Annual Bulldog Tailgate on Aug. 29 at the Perkinston Campus before the first home game of the season.  More than 500 Bulldog fans met in Heidelberg Hall to eat hamburgers and hotdogs while cheering for the team ranked No. 1 in the nation.

The MGCCC Jazz Band and Bulldog cheerleaders offered entertainment for the event, leading fans in the team’s Blue and Gold chant.  Children were invited to a special room to color, get their face  painted  and take pictures with Mac, the Bulldog mascot.

After the event, fans could watch the Band of Gold march to the stadium from the band hall, before the exciting game against Coahoma.
