This summer, pollsters at jcgridiron.com named Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College as the nation’s No. 1 preseason JUCO team in it’s “Dirty 30” rankings. In August, the NJCAA followed suit as MGCCC earns the top spot in another preseason poll. The Bulldogs top the list, followed by Snow College, Navarro, Iowa Western and Butler. Other MACJC schools that have debuted in the poll include East Mississippi at No. 8, defending MACJC champ Co-Lin at No. 9, Hinds at No. 15, Itawamba at No. 16 and Jones in the “receiving votes” category.
MGCCC went 9-2 in 2012, reached the MACJC title game for the sixth straight season and won an MACJC South Division title for the sixth time in the last eight seasons.
The Bulldogs opened 2013 at home against Coahoma on August 29 at A.L. May Memorial Stadium in Perkinston.
