2013 Homecoming Queens

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College crowned the Homecoming queens for each campus during the halftime show at the 2013 Homecoming game against Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Saturday, Oct. 19. Fourteen Homecoming maids and three queens represented the three campuses of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Homecoming Day, Oct. 19, at the Perkinston Campus.  The maids, elected by their fellow students, were presented during a pep rally and during halftime of the college’s Homecoming football game.  Each campus queen was crowned during halftime.

Jackson County Campus

RYANN JOURDAN BRENEMAN, Homecoming queen from the Jackson County Campus, is the daughter of Jennifer McGuire and Bradford Smith and Roy and Jeni Breneman.  A graduate of Ocean Springs High School, she is currently a sophomore majoring in public relations.  After graduating, she plans to attend a Mississippi university.  She was a Freshman Homecoming Maid during 2012.

SARAH IRENE BAYLES, football maid for the Jackson County Campus, is a graduate of East Central High School.  She is the daughter of Dennis and Jane Bayles. Once she completes her degree at Gulf Coast in May, she plans to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education/Biology at Mississippi State University.  She is president of the campus Reflections team, and is active in Phi Theta Kappa and the Baptist Student Union.

REAGAN WATKINS, sophomore, is the daughter of Wayne and Chris Watkins of Hurley. A graduate of East Central High School, Watkins plans to transfer to a university after she graduates from Gulf Coast.  An elementary education major, she plans to transfer to The University of Southern Mississippi and get bachelors and masters degrees. She is vice president of Reflections and a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

CHRISTIAN LEANN PARSLEY, sophomore, is a graduate of East Central High School.  Her parents are Ray and LeAnn Parsley.  A native of Hurley, she plans on pursuing a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at The University of Southern Mississippi once she completes her degree at Gulf Coast.  She was voted Freshman Homecoming Maid in 2012 and Freshman Class Favorite.

ALANA CADMAN, freshman, is the daughter of Jeff and Michelle Cadman of Hurley.  A graduate of East Central High School, she plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at Mississippi State University after completing her associate degree at Gulf Coast.  She is a member of Reflections.

MISTY DAWN SMITH, freshman, is the daughter of Randall and Martha Smith. She is a graduate of St. Martin High School.  After graduating from Gulf Coast, she plans to pursue her bachelor’s degree in nursing at The University of Southern Mississippi.  She received a Presidential Scholarship to attend college.

Jefferson Davis Campus

BIANCA RENEE STEWART, Homecoming queen for the Jefferson Davis Campus, is the daughter of Jennifer Stewart and Ricardo Ruiz.  She plans to pursue her bachelor’s degree in fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design after graduating from Gulf Coast.  She is vice president of the Reflections Team, Student Government Association secretary and the Student Activities Advertising Committee chair.  She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Connections and the yearbook staff.

ANNA LAWRENCE, sophomore maid for the Jefferson Davis Campus, is a native of Biloxi and a graduate of St. Martin High School.  She is the daughter of Christopher and Angel Lawrence.  After graduating from Gulf Coast, she plans to attend The University of Southern Mississippi to pursue a bachelor’s degree in music education with an emphasis in voice and piano.  She is a member of Coastal Vibrations and the Jefferson Davis Choir.  She has signed a record deal with Bought Records and produced her first full album in 2012.

DANIELLE NICOLE JOHNSON, sophomore, is a fashion design major with plans to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design. The daughter of Corey and Angela Johnson of Biloxi, she attended Biloxi High School.  She is president of Reflections, Student Government Association parliamentarian, Student Activities Advertising Committee assistant chair  and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Connections. She was a 2012 Freshman Homecoming Maid and Freshman Class president.

PIPER ZOE LEITH, freshman, is the daughter of Suzanne Johnson of Long Beach.  She attended Long Beach High School and plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in fashion.  She is a member of Reflections and the Student Government Association.

VICTORIA GREEN, freshman, is a graduate of Harrison Central High School.  She is the daughter of Todd and April Stewart of Gulfport.  After graduating from Gulf Coast, she plans to attend The University of Southern Mississippi and earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing.  She wants to become a nurse practitioner.  She is a member of the Student Government Association.

EMILY WEATHERS, Homecoming queen for the Perkinston Campus, is the daughter of Wendell and Tammie Weathers of Wiggins.  She attended Stone High School, and, after graduating from Gulf Coast, plans to get her bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance.  She is captain of the Bulldogs cheerleaders, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  She is on the President’s List.

KALYN BURGE, freshman, is the daughter of Kevin and Rhonda Burge of Lucedale.  A George County High School graduate, she plans on becoming an orthodontist.  She is a Bulldogs cheerleader and a resident assistant in one of the college’s dorms.

TORI FISHER is a freshman maid from Hurley.  Her parents are Kyle and Macy Fisher of Moss Point.  A graduate of East Central High School, she plans to get her bachelor’s in English after graduating from Gulf Coast.  She is a Bulldogs cheerleader and a member of the Baptist Student Union and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

MIKA POPPENHOUSE, freshman football maid, is the daughter of Robert and Robin Poppenhouse of Moss Point.  She is a graduate of Moss Point High School and plans to become a dentist.  She is a Bulldogs cheerleader and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

KAITLYN BENTON, sophomore, is the daughter of Wayde and tracey Benton of Gulfport.  After graduating from Gulf Coast, she plans to get her bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an emphasis in English.  She is a 2012 graduate of West Harrison High School and serves as the Phi Theta Kappa historian, Reflections Team historian and Campus Activities Board president.

DANI CRAFT, sophomore, is a graduate of D’Iberville High School.  She is the daughter of David and Pam Craft of D’Iberville, and is a pre-medical major.  She is a member of the Soccer team, Softball team, Phi Theta Kappa and is president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
