MGCCC Bulldogs sweep Bishop State

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College came back from a 14-point halftime deficit to surge past Bishop State 64-60 on Nov. 11 at the Weathers/Wentzell Center in Perkinston. The Bulldogs (3-1) clawed back to tie the game twice in less than 10 minutes to go in the second half. Gulf Coast eased ahead of Wildcats in the last 4:49 to win the team’s home opener. Rashad Perkins led the Bulldogs with 21 points while Josh Carroll added 16.

The Lady Bulldogs (2-1) hammered Bishop State 61-43 behind a 16-point outing from freshman Christa Owen. Cici Brown added nine points while KaLynn Smith pulled down 11 rebounds and Hellanisa Young grabbed 10 boards.
