Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will host the Mississippi Scenes exhibit on Nov. 4-Dec. 5 at the Jefferson Davis Campus Art Gallery.  An opening reception will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the gallery.  The event is free and open to the public.

Mississippi Scenes is an exhibit that includes nostalgic scenes of Mississippi by noted watercolorist Tom Cochran of Jackson, Miss. (1938-2006). Well-known landmarks such as Longwood, Chapel of the Cross and the Ruins of Windsor will surely stir past memories. Other scenes include everyday images of old sawmills and sharecroppers’ houses, along with paintings representing Tom’s favorite time of the year – Christmas.
