Representatives from Mississippi State University’s James Worth Bagley College of Engineering held an Information Session at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jackson County Campus on Thursday, Nov. 6. More than 150 students and community members attended the event to find out more about the engineering degrees that will be offered at the campus, beginning fall 2015.
The agreement to offer engineering degrees at MGCCC was signed in August. The agreement outlines the collaboration to offer at least two engineering degree programs. The institutions will jointly recruit students, allowing them to complete their first two years at the community college and second two years through MSU, with engineering classes offered online and face to face at the new STEM Building located on the campus. Tours of the facility were offered following the Information Session.
