A promising trip to the playoffs ended abruptly on October 30 as Hinds defeated Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College 3-1 in the MACJC quarterfinals. The Bulldogs end the season with a 10-6-1 record.
Hinds sophomore Nathan Miley netted two goals in the first half to give the Eagles an early lead before Bulldog sophomore Kase Kingery scored with a minute reaminaing in the first half to cut the lead to 2-1.
Will Rimmer’s netter in the 78th minute iced the game for Hinds, which came into the game as the North Division’s No. 3 seed.
The Bulldogs had numerous shots on goal but were stymed each time by Hinds Keeper Will Pearson.
